Zam.io was founded in 2018 with a vision to create a digital bank for migrants in Russia and the CIS region. The aim was to create a platform for the most demanded financial and social services necessary for a foreign citizen to live comfortably and succeed, all in one streamlined app.

Since 2018, Zam.io has been building a network with payment service providers and banks. Remittance solutions have been implemented in 8 CIS countries with 5 national currencies available. Recipients can receive money at more than **50,000** locations across the region. As of today, Zam.io has over **30,000** registered users on the platform with partnership agreements with 3 banks and 3 payment service providers. The platform is integrated with partners’ solutions through an API under a white label model. 

In 2021, an international team of blockchain enthusiasts was formed to envision and develop a universal financial ecosystem powered by blockchain. Talent from world-leading companies has been recruited to realize the project. Zam.io was reborn as the crypto component of the Zam.io universe. $ZAM token has been already launched alongside the ZamWallet.
